How Can I Know The Way to Heaven?
So many people think knowing Jesus as your personal Savior is something very hard to do. I promise you it is NOT!
God tells us in His Word, the Bible, that we can KNOW where we will go when we die.
You see, God made us to be with Him, but our sin (wrong-doing) separates us from God. A holy God cannot allow sin to be in His presence. Sin has to be removed before we can be allowed in Heaven with God.
Our sins cannot be removed by doing good deeds. Only by the shedding of blood can sin be "paid for". Paying the price for our sin, Jesus died (and rose again!).
Everyone who trusts in Jesus alone to pay for their sin has eternal life. If you accept this free gift from Him, life with Jesus will begin now and last forever!
God. Our. Sins. Paying, Everyone, Life.
LIFE!
Here is how to KNOW...
The book of Romans tells us that every person has sinned and has not measured up to God's perfect standard.
(Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.")
(Romans 3:10 "As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one;")
But Romans goes on to say that God loved people so very much, that even though we were sinners, Jesus gave His own life (a sinless life) to pay for the wrongs that we have (and will have) done.
(Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.")
Sin separates us from God. God did not want us to be separated from Him for all eternity. But sin requires payment, just as when we wrong someone, we need to make it right.
We are not good enough to pay for sinning against a Holy God. The only way our sin could be made right, and we would be able to live with Him forever, would be for Jesus to pay for our sin Himself. This forgiveness is God's gift to man.
(Romans 6:23 "For the wages [payment] of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
God's Word tells us how to do this. It's is a simple as talking to God as you would a friend. Tell God:
1. That you are not perfect; that you are a sinner (we ALL are).
2. That you believe that Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God, died for your sin.
Then...
3. Ask God to forgive you for your sin of rejecting Him until now.
4. Ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior.
(Romans 10:9-10, 13 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth, the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised Him from the dead, though shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness,
and with the heart, confession is made unto salvation.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.")
If you have accepted The Lord Jesus, we would love to hear from you! It is very important for you to now grow in your faith and relationship with the Lord Jesus, because......
Satan, the Enemy, does not want this, and will do all he can to discourage you from doing so.
